2025-03-12 09:20:01 +0000 UTCYeah, not a cliff hanger at all. I don’t know why they put it as Part 1 and Part 2. Its no more a two-part story than the previous episode was. A good episode though. A bit of some heart felt moments. Especially with George and the things with his dad and the part with Izzy finally depositing the check. I also liked the contrasting of the feelings George with his dad and Meridith and her dad. George desperately worried about his dad while Meredith trying to avoid hers. Interesting scene there between Alex and Addison about to kiss. Can’t wait to see what comes of that. Cristina and Burke still acting immature, basically in a pouting battle. What Derek needs is noise cancelling headphones (they have ones that are like earbuds for use while sleeping) or have Meredith get a sleep apnea machine.

I don’t think it’s necessarily bad writing to have characters do things that are wrong or change, that’s pretty human. Just gotta take characters as they come and support them when they do good and call out when they do bad. Thats what makes an engaging show to me at least I also forgot all about the cheque… Just going to make me mad again! Izzie please cash the cheque! She’s probably missed out on like 50k in interest by now… Not sure why we’re still letting George be a doctor for his dad or Cristina be a doctor for Burke… I guess with Burke they all know him so it’s tough, but Cristina is definitely too close to him to be there i think. Yeah the girl with the curved spine shouldn’t be so rude to the doctors, but I can appreciate how she’s probably just fed up with the entire situation and probably done with doctors at this point. God I love Bailey. Her “Stare him down” advice to Callie was so perfect. She plays these toxic man babies like puppets. I forgot Bailey makes the same point to Izzie about interest that i keep banging on about. Maybe this is why i like Bailey so much. Yup Burke is absolutely pathetic and childish. I’m glad Addison called it out. Callie staring down George did kind of work… It at least confused him enough that he stopped being scared. That’s something! I feel for George. He spent a lot of time preparing his family for how his Dad would look, but didn’t prepare himself. Not sure how i feel about Alex and Addison. There are worse relationship options i suppose. They do always seem to work well together at least professionally. Yeah a two parter but without a cliffhanger for whatever reason! Just a longer story than they wanted to tell in a single episode i suppose. This was the first episode after a mid season break and there was a week between this episode and next, so it’s not like it was a double slot where they wanted to do a two parter. Does feel a bit odd and makes this episode feel incomplete as a result (because it is)

It does set up a lot, and it is interesting to see Meredith try to make sense of who she is by learning more about her father, and the relationship others have with their fathers. Yep, Burke is a jerk, Addison is completely right he is being childish. Again, personal experience, it is not easy seeing a parent like that, i feel such sympathy for George when he first sees his father.
