Hell of a start with Bullsye killing Foggy and then Matt attempting to kill bullsye

2025-03-14 19:11:03 +0000 UTCReally enjoyed this episode and I’m happy to see everybody back! My biggest issue however is the amount CGI used in the first 10 minutes once Matt suited up as Daredevil. The first chunk of the rooftop fight scene between Daredevil and Bullseye looked awkward, as it was mostly just a CGI render of Daredevil moving around punching Bullseye, (I’m assuming it was at least from the way it looked) it unfortunately took me out of the moment as it was cutting back to Foggy dying. Still a really sad moment but the obvious cgi did take me out of it a little bit.

Certainly not as good as the original I'm hoping the choice to kill Foggy off right off the bat was due to the actor having prior commitments or something like that and not a narrative choice, because if it was a narrative choice then FUCK YOU to the writers. Seemed like they were trying to copy the feel of the original, but to me did not quite get it ... close, but not quite there! How quickly Fisk got elected seemed off to me. There were a number of other things that were off to me ... which to me clearly showed that the writers/producers for Born Again do not have near as much talent as the writers/producers of the original But again, I thought this episode was decent ... and who knows, it could improve a lot over the coming episodes. So, keeping my fingers crossed that at the very least, the show does not go downhill!

Well, they kept that dark look and story line that the Netflix series had. I liked the talk he and Fisk had in the diner, cordial yet threatening. I like how they did the end, showing Fisk lit with white light, his signature color and Matt in red. Very Kewl. A good start in my opinion. Although very sad about Foggy.

2025-03-06 08:11:22 +0000 UTCI have mixed feelings about the premiere. It was really cool seeing the fight with Matt and Bullseye. However, that was all the action we got the whole episode, all before the beginning credits. Also, so they brought Foggy, Karen and Bullseye back. What happens? Foggy gets killed, Karen moves across the country and Bullseye is now locked up for life. So much for any of those characters making much of an impact the rest of the season, especially Foggy. Can't believe they did him like that! Fisk becoming mayor was super easy, barely an inconvenience. Like who was he running against? How did he get so many votes? People barely knew who he even was, outside of him getting arrested. Yeah, his eye was reconstructed, I believe in Echo. But it just needed time to fully heal. Some time has passed I guess, plus the year time jump. We'll see how the rest of the season turns out but so far, like you said, it's "ok."

Yeah I looked this shit up with a little help of A.I. ...Which for some reason doesn't like to talk about elections? The fuck is that about? Anyhoos... Normally a person who runs for mayor will start their campaign 6 to 12 months before the election They should've had him announce his candidacy at the beginning of the episode BEFORE. leaping 1 year into the future at least then it'd be somewhat believable This dude is highly underqualified for this type of position of power.. He's the Karen of mayors... But don't tell the showrunners I said that cause they might get ideas! Who am I kidding? You know daaaamn well they got a hard-on for Karen! I'm calling it... IF. Daredevil beats Fisk.. Karen will be mayor within a fraction of a second! LITERALLY. LESS. THAN. A. SECOND. ...They'll hand her the key to the city faster than you can count to 1 ....Go ahead ...Try it ..NOPE! ..She's mayor ..Gotta be quicker than that Froots! Being mayor? Pssssh.. Not a problem for Karen! She's got that shit on lock! No experience needed AT. ALL. for her! This bish can do ANYTHING. ...Or ..Well.. People just LET. her do it for some reason I mean sure ...This bish now apparently lives on the other side of the country ...But they will find a way Froots! ..They will FIND!.. A!.. WAY! Also.. Correct me if I'm wrong.. Isn't Fisk a convicted felon? A criminal in a position of that kinda power? I'm pretty sure that's illegal It's literally unheard of ....thinks.... Actually.. Nope.. My bad Lex Luthor did become president in that one episode of Smallville ...But he's a billionaire ..Dude probably bought his way into office No way he was voted in the honest way ...You'd have to be some kinda stupid to vote for these people Luckily it's all fiction though ..laughs.. 2025-03-05 20:56:19 +0000 UTCBefore they pivoted with the direction of this season Foggy was going to be killed off-screen , the new people who took over didn't want to change it but were like that has no impact, so they talked to Elden and he agreed to come back just for him to die :(

2025-03-05 17:39:22 +0000 UTCMuch like Matt Murdoch I didn’t see Fogeys death coming. I won’t lie that shit hurted. Is Shan crushing on Bullseye or am’I reading too much into it? I didn’t see your reactions to earlier seasons. One of the reasons I love this show is because it gives you such complex and wonderful characters that are given the chance to breathe, and as an audience member you get to choose which person to root for, both Matt and Fisk are deeply flawed characters who both believe in their own personal cause and just seeing them sit in a diner having a conversation is enough to give me chills however…. What takes me out of it is seeing janky cgi fight scenes and attempted oner shots to follow the heartbreak of Foggys demise, and I geddit it’s the first episode of a revival you gotta shoot for the stars, go big or go home but let’s be honest Netflix did it better. Overall a solid start I can’t wait to see where this season goes I just hope they don’t drop the ball along the way.
