I liked this episode, not great but good. Since the Ancient spirit projector (just what I call it, better than other names, more accurate I feel) only puts the mind of an individual in another body. What we see is the person’s self-image of themselves. They still see the body they are in when THEY look and so does everyone else. Even Keller, when she looked at the Neeva, saw her own body ‘worn’ by Neeva. There is no reason for this sel-image to change when the body they are possessing changes. They see the clothes because their mind doesn’t possess the clothes, just the body, hair is an extension of the body. When Keller suggests setting off an explosion to act as a diversion, the henchman asks, "And why would they run toward an explosion?" Rodney and Daniel had the same argument in the Ass-gard episode. They should have confirmed the kill of Neeva, better story writing. Since by now I’m sure they new show was over, there is no sense in keeping her around.

2025-02-23 03:29:30 +0000 UTCOk... Before I go into the shitshow that is 5x19 - "Vegas" ...Here's a few notes on this episode 1. "Keller" was looking at a picture of the real Keller at a graduation and a man standing next to her.. Quite possibly Keller's dad?? ...The man was played by Carl Binder ..Executive Producer and writer of this (5x18) and many other episodes 2. I wonder how long it took Ronon to figure out Keller wasn't really Keller ...We don't really get an explanation on that cause legit the next scene he's in he saves McKay from getting shot ...But from the first moment Ronon showed up at Keller's room he was acting sus as hell of her ...Dude was staring at her like he was looking at a Wraith 3. Seeing the Ancient Communication Device again made me realise something ...This device and for instance the Ancient Repository Device (That gave O'neill the knowledge of The Ancients) and even the ship the Ancients left their own galaxy with back in Ark Of Truth ...They don't exactly LOOK. like the kinda tech you find on Atlantis ...They look more ancient than that (pun intended) ...Nice touch by the props and VFX department for showing some transition went down technology-wise during the time The Ancients were still around 4. Hoooooooolld up ...Let's not skate past this ...Mah dude Ronon just shot the device which severed the connection between Keller and Neeva .......Mitchell and Teal'c had to yeet the device into the kawoosh of an opening wormhole to sever the connection it had on Daniel and Vala ....Are they saying ALL. we had to fucking do was SHOOT IT!?!?! ...I remember Bill (Bearded scientist dude at the SGC and aboard Midway Station ..Funny guy) getting in the way of Mitchell back in 9x03 when he was about to do the same thing ....Dammit Bill!! You almost killed Daniel and Vala! 5. Woolsey sees McKay rocking up holding flowers and a box of chocolates: "What's the occasion?" ...McKay: "Oh just visiting a friend in the infirmary" ...Woolsey: "That's very thoughtful of you Rodney" .....I wonder if Woolsey knew of McKay and Keller's relationship ....Or if he thought McKay was about to go and pay a visit to Zelenka 6. I agree with you ...The people in this episode were stupid ..They SHOULD. have clocked on that this was in fact not Keller way sooner (even though technically they figured it out within the first 10 minutes of the episode) ...Buuuuuttt then we wouldn't have had thi....... Yeah you know what ..I can't even finish that sentence ...I would GLADLY. not have had this episode ...We DON'T have the time for fillers right now people!!!! ....And it gets worse ...Yeah I'm looking at you ..Vvvvegas!

2025-02-21 11:51:15 +0000 UTCI'm sad to see another show end but the journey isn't done yet Around the time SG-1 ended I had internet access at where I lived for the first time. I used to visit the SG-1 & Atlantis forums on Syfy's website. When SG-1 ended I saw people on the forums complain about how much Atlantis sucked & it was wrong Brad Wright chose to keep it over SG-1 When it came near the end of Atlantis suddenly the narrative shifted & a lot of the posts now said how great Atlantis was & Syfy should've never cancelled it. I had to laugh at their ridiculousness. It was my 1st experience of seeing "haters" on the internet, but sadly not the last I absolutely loved Atlantis just as much as SG-1 & was sad that it was coming to an end. I wasn't a big fan of the Atlantis theme song for most of the show, I think mostly because I was just far more used to SG-1, but having Atlantis stand on it's own the last few year it was during season 5 That I found myself really appreciating the theme & realizing how good it really was
