Doctor Who S03E04 - Daleks In Manhattan FULL REACTION

I remember when this first aired in 2007 I like so many people at the time didn't know who Andrew Garfield was, cause he wasn't Spider-Man yet, come to think of it when this came out Toby Maguire was still Spider-Man. When he was Spider-Man I looked him to see what else he did and was amazed to see that he was in Doctor Who, from this being his small beginnings to being a Marvel hero and getting nominated for multiple Oscars years later the man really has gone up in the world. But anyway don't mind the episode, always found the scene where the gangster gets absorbed by the dalek creature terrifying when I was a kid, it felt very body horror. By the way you may have noticed the Doctor is has been changing his suit from the original dark brown to the new blue one and then back to his brown one again. Just out of curiosity which do you prefer, the brown one of the blue one?

I think they shouldn't have had Daleks in the title because that just gives it away that there are Daleks in the episode. Imagine if it didn't have that title and then they revealed the dalek in the lift with the pig slaves, it could of been a cool twist.

Just James Patreon member, The working title for the episode was originally Daleks in New York but was changed due to the fact that it would be easier to say Manhattan. And even though there are Daleks in this episode they do not elevate or shout Exterminate. To answer your question The empire state building doesn’t even rank in the top 20 tallest buildings anymore, it’s 43rd in the world and only the 4th Tallest in New York. The cliffhanger ending of this episode was spoiled for us in the UK because the humanoid Dalek was plastered all over the front cover of the radio times (TV guide) Steven Moffat was initially assigned to the two-parter but pulled out from the episodes, as he was busy with Jekyll. (A modern day telling of Jekyll n Hyde) Instead, he offered to write a Doctor-lite episode to make up for the inconvenience to the production team, the result being episode 10. RTD chose Helen Raynor to write this two-parter based on the strength of the Torchwood episode Ghost Machine, which she wrote. This episode drew 6.3 million viewers when it aired April 21st 2007 (just before my Birthday) and I wish it could have been better, not a favourite of mine to rewatch - Heater from me
