It only they made a blooper reel of Tennant messing up the "Judoon platoon upon the moon" line, because he kept slipping back to his Scottish accent, would of been funny. Save... Martha... Batman: Martha? WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME?! Sorry had to do that lol. On a more serious note, I like the acting from the extras when they realise they are on the moon. They all panic in loads of different way, one has a panic attack which I totally bought because I had one a few years ago, and that is pretty much what they are like.

One guy even has a panic attack, and I really do believe it, as someone who actually had one, a while ago.

2025-01-13 20:10:39 +0000 UTCI thought this was a decent episode, the Judoon were interesting, there were some good lines and really funny moments from David Tennant. I thought the straw thing was a bit silly as well, although I thought it mostly worked because of the actress's line delivery when she said "I even brought a straw", the way she said it felt like she knew it was silly and did it on purpose, cause she was having fun, which honestly just made it more evil. I liked Martha so far, I like how clever they've shown her to be already, with some good questions and responses. I'll be honest though, I was not a fan of the kiss, I get it it was for genetic transferring, but I don't know, were teasing romantic type stuff here, I don't like that, not right after Rose, but we'll see where that goes, the Doctor did seem pretty sincere with his not interested comment, so I'll be fine if he sticks with that.

The went a little far with the Oxygen, Humans go unconscious at below 10%, they showed people still walking about below 5%. 2 minutes at below 6% results in severe death and most if not all the sick in the hospital would be dead at that point. Let alone it showed 0 for at least a minute or 2.. I kind of liked the rhino people. I don't know why, just did. Decent episode, nice start to season.

2025-01-07 13:56:33 +0000 UTCYou bet me to it, i was going to say about Judoon, i recently re-watched this episode in my own time and i appreciate it more than i did when i first saw it, I feel like it's a really good introduction so people who are starting can jump on, but also not too repetitive.

2025-01-07 13:46:36 +0000 UTCSave… Martha… no wait this isn’t Batman V Superman. This episode had the working title of Martha. And she didn’t need saving The Doctor did. The line "Judoon platoon upon the Moon" was written as something of a joke towards David Tennant. The Scottish accent, which is Tennant's natural one, makes it difficult to pronounce the sound/syllable "-oon" in an English accent. The original special effect for the Judoon weapons - in which the victim's skin would be seen to boil away - was too frightening for family audiences at tea-time and so this was altered. The Doctor sarcastically mouthing along when Martha says "It's Bigger on the Inside!" was an ad-lib by David Tennant cos he awesome. 8.2 million viewers when it aired in march 2007, I remember it being a good start to a new beginging new benig benine benny beninging a new start. 1.5 roses.
