Chozen didn't save anyone in KK2. In the tropical storm, he hides in the shelter while Daniel saves the girl bell ringer girl (played by Traci Toguchi, yes same actress played the child in KK2 and adult Cobra Kai). A disgraced Chozen runs away during storm only to return and fight Daniel. He loses and we don't see him again until this show. That is same actor playing Daniel's son, Anthony, he just lost a lot of weight. The line that Chozen says as he hand Daniel the scroll "You keep for your collection." was taken from KK2. In the movie Daniel's girlfriend throws a tomato at Chozen, staining his shirt. He takes his shirt off and throws it at her saying "You keep for your collection." They do this often in the series. Taking lines from the movie and using them here, sometimes with very different meaning. The rock singer is Dee Snider, lead singer of Twisted Sister, famous for singing Were Not Gonna Take It. He recently released it at a slower tempo to raise money for charity (Heal Every Life Possible).

2024-09-04 08:23:52 +0000 UTCThis episode was really cathartic for a number of reasons. Chozen turned his life around and became a completely different person. Now Daniel and him parted as friends. Now if we can only get him and Johnny on the same page... Daniel saving that girl's life came back around and his business is thriving now. Plus Kumiko still has a lot of love and respect for him. I think if Daniel wasn't married, they might rekindle things. Calling Chozen and calling the other girl to help him really shows how much she cares about him. Miguel being able to move his foot and stand without trying to is a common TV and movie trope but I don't mind because I do want to see Miguel get better. This show just keeps getting better.
