Sisters of Athernia

https://www.storysite.org/a_orphans01.html

Some of you may remember a classic of old school TG story called Sisters of Athernia.  It tells the tale of a group of college men who survive a plane crash only to wash ashore on a mysterious island where they are transformed into women and made to marry some of the island's lonely, single men.

In what is a first for me, a wonderful patron who prefers to remain anonymous commissioned me to illustrate some scenes from the story, the first time I have illustrated another's work. Even better, this patron has generously given me permission to share some of the pictures with all of you!

Featuring mind alteration as well as a series of gradual physical changes, Sisters is a story I had read many years ago, and it was a pleasure to revisit. I hope you enjoy these pictures!

Would love to see them!!! I only know of one sequel but would love to see others!

Well, I am aware of one of them as the same super patreon has commissioned me to make some pics from that story as well!

Thank for the additional picture. For information, there are several sequels and remakes of 'Sisters', writen as a tribute to Diane Cristy. I can bring the links here if someone is interested.

Yes. Poor guy!

Now that you mention it... But I don't mind so much because the main character wears it, and he is expected to be pinker, blonder, and more girly than the others!

This is a great analysis! Really hits the nail on the head, I think. Great articulation of why this story sticks.

The girl on the right is actually Rick! I am going to add a shot that identifies the characters and another that shows how I morphed their faces.

I like the pink dress, but I do feel it was totally inappropriate for mid gender transformation day wear.

Thank you for commenting on the clothes! I spent many hours working on the clothes. Most of them are modified outfits I pieced together, changing colors and textures to match the story. It was a fun challenge! There are so many little triumphs for me in there, but one of the characters was supposed to have puffy sleeves made of lace-- that was tricky!

Yes! I would add that I think the writer keeps the conflict going the whole time is also a positive element, so the characters, even as they are forced to talk and act in a feminine manner, continue to object and express astonishment in their minds.

In the last picture, the girl to the right is really shining! I assume she was Jack. Also, the husbands are nice looking. If I get one of them, I'm OK to be their perfect housewife, no discussion... πŸ˜‰

Wondering what makes the story so strong, I reached this conclusion: 1) announcing everything that will happen before it happens, creating expectations then fulfilling them 2) variations: the same transformations happens to 4 characters, each one with different hair color 3) More important: the hero simultaneously experiences the transformation in his flesh and watch it happening on other guys. It's like being transformed before multiple mirrors, each one delivering a variation. 4) The shame the characters experience is made bearable by the fact they all share the same fate.

Alexia

Even the pink dress is OK, as flashy as it looks !!! πŸ™‚

Nice surprise! This story had a powerful effect on me when I discovered it. Despite the fact the characters are controlled in the less subtle way (by forcing all their moves 😐) there is some hypnotic quality that makes this story unique. I like the illustrations, particularly the clothes of the new girls πŸ‘. When reading the story, I could only visualized some caricatural 1950 clothes. But the pictures are both faithful to the story and make the girls cute, not at all ridiculous.😊
