2025-04-27 16:58:14 +0000 UTCso glad you have access to music like that near you!!! i love the long improvisational sections you mentioned, especially when one musician gets so into it that the others can't help but just watch with smiles on their faces. nothing beats watching people do what they love and love what they're doing. also--i'll definitely have to check out rural NY thank you! being back in my hometown this weekend made me realize just how much i miss grass lol. definitely will have to make the journey outside the city when the parks aren't enough.

There's a place near me that has a jazz night and a blues night every month and it's amazing not just because of live music but the improvisation and hearing how these artists feel in that moment through their instrument. This is why I love jam bands because of the completely unique renditions of songs that often lead to long improvisational sections from the musicians. So I love finding artists and places to experience this live as I'll never see my favourite jam band but at least there is an excess of bootlegs from concerts. Sorry for just rambling about music again, I can't help it. Anyway I really love the pod, both the main and the patron. And this episode just continued the chill vibe of the series so far and keeps in line with the humour of the main pod. I like the reflection on previous episodes too providing extra context on the behind the scenes of what was happening before you filmed them. Best of luck in Jersey City, rural New York looks beautiful so maybe spend some time there if the liveliness of the city becomes too much, never been there but would like to see the Catskill Mountains. Just a recommendation since you'll be closer.

I think you being in jersey city is perfect because there's not only the comedy thing but there's also so many different variations of content that you can make there, such as visiting a cool historical landmark or whatever pops up randomly as a thought, all the ideas and brainstorms that will come of this new era will be amazing
