man what an episode, what a show. it has its flaws but it remains one of my favorites ever, it's such an experience, the characters are so human and complex, wille and simon are so dear to me, just wow. also the dialogues/convos in this episode...between wille and august, august and sara, wille and simon (the 'it has been us'.......), just crazy stuff, i was really satisfied with how the conversations went. is the ending a little fairy tale ish ? sure, but also theyre young and in love and suffered so much i think they deserve to be free and happy and i was just so happy that they were happy that i didnt mind im so glad you watched it all the way to the end and that you enjoyed it, thank you for the reactions !

2025-02-12 04:45:07 +0000 UTCno exactly like I think I was so emotional bc whilst the montage of them was playing, I was experiencing my own montage in my mind of my life and loves... it rly made me think about myself which is all I can ever ask for in a show really

2025-02-11 10:42:56 +0000 UTCWow what a brilliant show. I watched s1 when it was first released back in 2021 so binging the remainder the past few days and especially that finale was an emotional rollercoaster. I cried so much during this ep but it was prob a 60/40 split how many of my tears were about the show vs just the realisation of how much my life and my relationships have changed. Speaking of which if you told me years ago that fucking august of all people was gonna become MY SHAYLA ???? I would never have believed you but my god what a journey he went on. I feel so haunted by his ending. Also I totally resonate with what you said about the ending. Initially I was like "are we really gonna just walk back all the problems we built up over the course of this season through the Power of Love" and then during the montage I was like... they're just two kids in love. Let them be that.

2025-02-11 10:35:46 +0000 UTCThank you so much for these reactions!! As someone who is absolutely fascinated by human nature this show such wonderful piece to analyze and study. The character work is immaculate✨I was so emotional while watching this last episode for the first time and honestly I think the whole fandom was. The week in between episodes 1-5 and the finale was crazy. Had us all STRESSING. I think the positive ending really shocked a lot of us. Again, even if you don’t watch on camera even tho I’d LOVE to hear your thoughts, I HIGHLY recommend the documentary covering the making of YR. Truly such a talented cast and crew. There’s so much love in this project💗sobbed when I first saw it🥲would also love to hear your thoughts in a recap!!

2025-02-11 08:11:41 +0000 UTCI remember when this season first came out they released episodes 1-5 first and released the finale a week later, so the fandom was STRESSING out over the way ep 5 ended for seven days 😭. No one knew what to expect with the last episode but when it finally dropped, everyone was so emotional and happy and it all felt bittersweet. There had been some discussion after season 2 about whether Wille would abstain or become king and I feel like an overwhelming majority of us were so happy that he decided to abstain. It was definitely the best choice for him after everything he has been through.

2025-02-11 03:50:37 +0000 UTCI'm so happy you reacted to this so I could finally finish it!! Cried for a good 15 minutes at the end. I was stressed this season but I'm so happy they were both able to figure out what was going to be best for themselves and maybe love is real

2025-02-11 01:37:45 +0000 UTCThank you so much for reacting to this show! I had so much fun reliving everything through your reactions. If you're interested in that sort of thing I'd really recommend watching Young Royals Forever, it's a bts of the third season and is a really nice way to wrap up the whole series with the actors.

2025-02-10 18:35:06 +0000 UTCI was in the fandom when the finale came out and from what I can remember, the fandom was pretty happy with it? Lots of excitement, some disbelief as well. LOTS of tears. I think all of us really thought it wouldn't end on a positive note (especially with the way this season was going), and I know for a fact I, personally, didn't see Wille making that decision in the last 15 minutes but oh was I glad it happened! YR is such an incredible show with such a talented cast that for me, it never gets old. I feel like this show really changed my perspective on media as whole, especially queer media. It was so fun to watch along with you. Thanks for all the insights. It really had me thinking about the plot and characters in ways I hadn't thought to before :)
