Mission Report: The Daimyo's Annual Trip

Mission Objective: 

Escort the Fire Daimyo and his entourage on his annual business trip, ensuring safe passage and return. Task includes protection from potential threats, including hostile shinobi, and other unforeseen dangers.

Mission Log:

1- Initial Movements: 

The mission began as standard escort procedure. The Fire Daimyo was escorted from his estate, flanked by both the primary team and Anbu reinforcements. No signs of enemy activity were noted in the first leg of the journey. The escort proceeded along predetermined routes with no deviations. Kohinata Mukai, acting as the mission leader, coordinated security with both Team Yamato and the Daimyo’s personal guardians. Regular status reports were taken from the Anbu units, confirming no detected threats.

2- Attack Incident:

After sensing a chakra tailing them, the team moved, reaching a heavily forested area approximately halfway through the route when the attack commenced. Without warning, a masked shinobi engaged the convoy. The enemy shinobi quickly incapacitated the majority of the escort force, the three ninja guardians, using  high-level genjutsu, trapping them in illusions. The genjutsu was identified as being so potent that only select members of the team resisted: Takeshi Arata, Itachi Uchiha, Shisui Uchiha, Yamato, and Kohinata Mukai.

3- Engagement:

• The masked shinobi attacked, immediately engaging Mukai and Yamato, who attempted to protect the Daimyo. Mukai suffered a broken arm and was incapacitated early in the conflict. Yamato engaged the masked, but was immediately overwhelmed and severely injured, sustaining multiple wounds, including critical damage leading to significant blood loss.

• Takeshi Arata engaged the masked man next, trying to save his sensei. Despite displaying formidable resilience, and remarkable tactics, he was ultimately outmatched. The masked man managed to incapacitate him by slicing his throat. Initial recounts showed the group assumed Takeshi was killed after this, however, later developments indicate this wasn’t the case. (further elaboration below).

• Itachi Uchiha, seeing Takeshi fall, launched an immediate counteroffensive against the masked shinobi. Itachi, despite his considerable skill, overextended himself. In a desperate bid to protect the Daimyo and avenge his comrades, he depleted his chakra reserves, releasing a power fire Jutsu, ultimately collapsing from exhaustion.

• With Itachi incapacitated, Shisui Uchiha assumed the final defensive position. Despite efforts to retreat with the Daimyo, the masked shinobi forced Shisui into direct combat. During this confrontation, Shisui identified the presence of a secondary threat: a black creature, described as possessing a unique chakra signature that blended seamlessly with the environment. This creature's ability to avoid detection made it an unpredictable and dangerous element in the battle.

Transformation of Takeshi Arata:

• According to the report given by Shuri, the medical specialist, she woke up at the place where the attack started, feeling an ominous and overwhelming chakra signature looming behind her. The creature was described as monstrous in nature, and felt from a significant distance away. According to Shuri the beast was unlike anything she had ever seen, overflowing with predatory intent. Shuri described the creature as observing the incapacitated team members, and reported that had the beast not sensed something off in the distance, it would have likely consumed them.

• The beast left the scene and proceeded toward the area where Shisui and the Daimyo were still engaged in combat with the masked man. It was later confirmed by Shisui that the beast was, in fact, Takeshi Arata. Following the slash to his throat, Takeshi apparently underwent a drastic transformation into a creature with immense levels of chakra. This transformation was marked by a complete shift in demeanor, with Takeshi’s sole focus being the destruction of the masked shinobi.

Battle Between Takeshi (Beast Form) and Masked Man:

• Upon reaching Shisui’s location, Takeshi, now in his transformed state, engaged the masked shinobi in combat. Our sources reported that Takeshi displayed overwhelming power, successfully overwhelming the masked man and his Jutsu, forcing him on the defensive. The masked shinobi was unable to match the raw strength and regenerative capabilities of the transformed Takeshi. At this stage, it became apparent that Takeshi, despite retaining his intelligence, was operating on an instinctual level, his sole focus being the destruction of his enemy.

Resolution:

• Through some unknown means, Shisui Uchiha managed to force Takeshi back into his normal form by utilizing his Sharingan. This was a critical intervention, as Takeshi’s mind appeared to have changed completely to the point where control was no longer an option. 

• Hurt, and tired, the masked shinobi, recognizing the impending arrival of Konoha’s reinforcements, chose to retreat alongside his ally. Both enemies vanished before reinforcements arrived.

Casualties and Damage Assessment:

• Anbu Units: Both Anbu units sustained complete casualties. None of the twelve members survived the engagement. The cause of death for most of the Anbu members is believed to be directly linked to the genjutsu inflicted by the masked shinobi.

• Takeshi Arata: Suffering from abnormal brain activity. Takeshi remains in a medically induced coma due to dangerous fluctuations in his chakra and unknown brain trauma.

• Shisui Uchiha: Extensive damage to his chakra network and severe chakra exhaustion. Notably, the damage is concentrated around his eyes due to overuse of his Sharingan.

• Itachi Uchiha: Severe chakra exhaustion. Immediate medical intervention has stabilized his condition, though he remains unconscious.

• Yamato: Critical injuries including severe blood loss. Prognosis is currently uncertain, with medical staff reporting that, should he survive, he may be forced into retirement from active duty.

• Kohinata Mukai: A broken arm and several minor injuries, but expected to make a full recovery.

• Daimyo's Guardians (Asuma, Kitane, Seito): All three members are suffering from the effects of high-level genjutsu, including Genjutsu-Induced Trauma (GIT) and Cognitive Fragmentation Disorder (CFD). Medical treatment is ongoing, they are expected to make a full recovery.

Conclusion and Recommendations:

The masked shinobi and his black creature accomplice represent a severe threat to the village and the Fire Daimyo. The extent of Takeshi’s Kekkei Genkai remains unknown, and his ability to transform into a beast with chakra comparable if not larger to that of a tailed beast poses a potential future danger. Close monitoring of Takeshi’s condition is recommended, as is further investigation into the nature of his Kekkei Genkai.
