Or eventually distribute the games over different platforms as well. (Patreon, itch.io eventually?). Itch.io at least for now, didn't fall under that restriction (yet). Or make the DLC downloadable from another source, if it is meant to be free. (The Devs from the Succubus game to "decensor" it did that over their own website for example.) From what i know, it isn't even germany alone that got this "issue". Though it's hypocrisy from our government, because games with nudity like The Witcher series, Cyberpunk and other games who include sex, nudity, even pornography or high violance are still sold on Steam, despite their age verification of 16 or even 18+. It's hilarious inconsistent and the rules/laws are evoked where they see them fit. Not evenly on every content. Minors still could access pornsites without issues to these days... ?! And can purchase 18+ games if they got someone to buy it for them (parents charging their Steamaccount with money etc). These games are also not blocked by Steam. It's stupid, makes no sense, follows no line of logic. So yah, it would be awesome if these games would be distributed on a platform that follows their "rules" (Patreon would be a way).

2025-04-17 03:39:28 +0000 UTCIf the 18+ DLC (for Becoming A King) is free, it will be unobtainable in Germany since it can neither be bought nor gifted (free DLCs cannot be sold as keys or gifted). Please make sure it has a price (like 1$/1โฌ) so it can be sold as keys and gifted.
