Problem with the Mario universe is that a lot of the characters follow the dorky cute design theme that you mentioned in one of the above comments

Wart would be nice to see, since he doesn't get much love, plus it would be a nice pairing I think. Plessie, a bit odd but could be an interesting one to see, and I don't think they are paired up much.
