I’m a bit late to this one, but I hope you’ll consider watching the 1999 version of Annie with Kathy Bates, it’s personally my favorite version of Annie and sticks much closer to the stage show, and it’s a great little movie :D

2026-03-10 00:45:01 +0000 UTCToo in late to suggest or vote but for some future point I would Strongly Suggest you watch the musical Dancer in the Dark. It as released in 2000 and is not much heard of despite having a great lead cast: Björk, Peter Stormare, Catherine Deneuve, David Morse - along with a great cameo number by Joel Grey (the MC in Cabaret). It's a BIG FEELINGS film, though, so it's a watch it on a day your ready for strong emotions.

2026-03-03 13:29:40 +0000 UTCSo late to this but Hairspray the OG is 100% better then the newer version I wish people would watch that before the knock off. ALSO Can we please pretty please get a poll For Wicked and For Good. Another great musical I didnt see on polls (maybe I missed it) is the OG THE King and I and Best Little Whorehouse in Texas She loves Dolly im surprised it didnt make the polls and shocked Purple Rain was skipped over

2026-03-03 08:36:39 +0000 UTCThis may be too late, but I wanna put this list out there in the universe: Mamma Mia Westside Story Oklahoma Annie, get your gun A chorus line Chicago If you haven’t already seen it, wicked part one and part two I believe jersey boys has a movie version The sound of music if you haven’t already seen it. I know I’ve suggested too many but I figured just in case maybe you’ll do a musical MarcC next year. Thank you for doing musicals,. I just figured out that some of these are not in the 2000s, sorry for not reading the instructions before I went crazy on my list.

2026-02-24 05:34:49 +0000 UTCDang it. I missed this one! :( :( I would've pushed for Pitch Perfect and Hairspray 07. I haven't seen Chicago, but I DO know one of the songs (and love it) so this should be fun!

2026-02-23 00:57:43 +0000 UTCI hope Ashleigh gets to watch Moulin Rouge and Rent. The first pitch perfect is fun but not a musical and would be a good contender for a future franchise Friday perhaps

2026-02-22 19:27:43 +0000 UTCPhantom for me. It’s always been a favorite of mine. Not necessarily the film, but definitely the musical. Amazing music! I’ll be awaiting earlier ones like Bye, Bye Birdie. ☺️
