Random question but what happened to Ashleigh watching Mean Girls? I thought it won a poll a while ago and I’ve never seen it uploaded

2026-02-10 09:36:50 +0000 UTCLooks like actor is going to win this, so I'll repeat myself from an earlier poll. I'd really like to see it be someone that's been active for over 30 years, that way you can get about a decade between each of the 4 movies and see the progression over their career. Someone like Clint Eastwood, Meryl Streep, Jack Lemon, Dustin Hoffman, Denzel Washington, Humphrey Bogart, Helen Mirren, etc.

2026-02-10 08:28:36 +0000 UTCTommy Lee Jones has so many more films that are great movies, Kevin Costner, Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant (North by Northwest) , Paul Newman (an unfinished life), Steve McQueen, Clint Eastwood, Charlton Heston, Barbara Stanwyck (in what i regard as the original Titanic, for starters), Amy Adams (Leap Year in particular your would love), Reese Witherspoon (Just Like Heaven [Mark Ruffalo is in it too] for starters); Robert Redford again (All the Presidents Men, the Candidate, The 3 days of Condor, Spy Game, the Way We Were, Barefoot in the park); Sandra Bullock - just some of the staples. I would list Whoopi Goldberg only to recommend her first lead role in a movie (which is her best and a Great story -mystery, comic, great cast, period piece that would interest you, etc. called "Jumpn' Jack Flash" But since it is like her first movie, I doubt anyone else would even know about it, This grouping will get you started! LOL

2026-02-10 08:24:09 +0000 UTCI voted for the Thin Man and hope that in the future it will garner more votes (but fear us older Ashleigh fans that have seen that series are dyeing off). I also voted for the Bourne Identity franchise. There are Five Bourne Identity films. I believe the most important one is "The Bourne Legacy 2012". Every time Ashleigh expresses delight in a review she lists elements like, a great story, Great cast, thrilling and fun to watch, excitement, Great special effects and Explosions! mystery or some puzzle to be solved, and characters to cheer for, etc. Legacy has all those features (and more) but the main character is not Jason Bourne and I am afraid it might not be included so please include it. [Plus I love movies that at the end, I feel informed & educated because the art shows us how it really was (for period pieces) or how it really is (the "life imitates art thing" except here it informs us of how the American Intelligence apparatus actually operates.)

2026-02-10 07:25:40 +0000 UTCOoh.. I forgot Kevin Costner.. then we could see The Untouchables, Dances With Wolves, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, and Draft Day... alternatives: The Bodyguard, JFK, The Upside of Anger, The Guardian.. He has SO many!

2026-02-10 01:03:14 +0000 UTCYou will LOVE the Bourne and Mission Impossible movies so I'm pulling for those... So many great suggestions for actors in the comments.. I would also throw in my votes for Sandra Bullock, Tom Hanks, Keanu Reeves, Hugh Grant and Jim Carrey!

2026-02-10 00:39:35 +0000 UTCI'll also support Jim Carrey on the Actor poll... dude owned the 90's. Were I to pick four, I would go "The Mask," "Dumb and Dumber," "The Truman Show," "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind."

2026-02-10 00:15:54 +0000 UTCYes please. Anything but Buffy at this point, really.
Spocktacular
2026-02-09 21:42:10 +0000 UTCI want to see Ashleigh reacting to Heated Rivalry. I think she'd swoon over the gay romance, while acquiring a few new future ex-husbands.

2026-02-09 18:54:38 +0000 UTCI was slightly excited police academy was close to the lead. nothing like watching a series of movies that progressively get worse and worse. And having Ashleigh question even asking us our opinions. Then actor polls are winning…. Oh well… maybe we can do Tommy Wiseau films…
