Cowslip, the pompous one, is voiced by Denton Elliot whom you’d remember as Marcus Brody in the Indiana Jones movies

You'll have to give your reasoning because I am not seeing the connection between the two films.

I loved this book as a kid. The movie adaptation here was decent too.

A good follow-up to this movie would be One Crazy Summer

Wow. I'm a GenXer, and I've never seen this. But I did watch The Secret of NIMH as a kid and that had some scary parts. This was pretty graphic for an animated film. I think you made some good points about this though. Big Brain Ashleigh was definitely going for this one!

This is one of my favorite movies from childhood! Thanks a bunch. The Rats of Nim is cool too.

Make it a double feature by watching 'Plague Dogs', by the same author (and I believe same animation studio)

This movie gave me and my siblings nightmares for weeks afterword, particularly the scene with Captain Holley trapped in the original warren. We Gen Xers and elder Millennials were little kids when we saw this movie. My Dad, like many Boomer parents at the time, saw the vhs box featuring animated rabbits and immediately thought it was a show for kids. So they brought it home to show to their three to eight year old.

Wow oh wow, I hesitated watching this with Ashley and I remember why, I was ugly crying myself, again. So powerful. Yes, GenX got some powerfully painful movies in our youth

I’m an elder millennial and I’ve never seen this! It was interesting

I am so psych'd for this!!!! Edited to add that you should read the book, it has nice little mini stories sprinkled in the novel about El-Ahrairah and his best buddy Rabscuttle getting into trouble kinda like Briar Rabbit or Bugs Bunny. It also fleshes out the story quite a bit more.
