I’ve been watching this with Ashleigh since ep. 1 and I have loved this with my whole heart, I just haven’t commented because I can’t seem to stop myself from spoiling stuff (sorry! It’s a fatal flaw, I know) but this has kept me going through a really rough year, ( dad had a stroke, mom got cancer, so did an uncle and I lost 2 aunts, plus I had 2 surgeries myself) which tracks because Buffy saved my life many times over during its original run. Thanks, Ashleigh, for sharing your Buffy experience with us and welcome to the Buffy Alumni!

Not to mention the limited budget, and the fact that it was shot in a warehouse instead of an actual soundstage. It's definitely the most dated looking season, but it still has a lot of heart.

Joss likes to show two things, women beating up men (and monsters), and killing off main characters.
I watched this series broadcast-first-run. I even watched the Buffy movie first (won the VHS tape as a Halloween party prize). Joyce's sudden out-of-the-blue death hit just like real life can do. Anya's death bothered me a lot, Tara's not much... I just never warmed to her character.
Thanks for sticking with it so I could come along for the ride.

So glad she stuck with the show after season one. Season one isn't bad, but it's the baby season. it's the season where they were figuring things out. BVS is truly one of the best tv shows ever created.
