First of all, I want to sincerely apologize for the delays and for being quieter than usual. When I miss a deadline, I get really anxious and end up shutting down instead of communicating properly, and that’s on me. I never want any of you to feel taken advantage of or left in the dark.
This update has been rough to finish, partly because I’m still doing the game in my free time, but especially because I struggled a lot with the writing. The last update had brand new content with Mauve, who is 100% my own creation, so it felt much more natural to write her. With Olivia, I’ve been feeling really unhappy with my own writing and worried about doing a poor job with her character.
Because of that, I’m currently exploring options to improve the writing going forward. I have a friend who’s willing to help as a writer, and I’m also open to other suggestions or collaborations if anyone has ideas or knows someone who might be a good fit.
For this update specifically, I ended up cutting a pillow talk scene between Alex and Olivia that I wasn’t satisfied with. I’ll rework it and add it in a future update instead of rushing something I don’t feel is up to the standard I want for the game.
The good news is: the build is done, and I’m now giving it a debugging pass.

2025-11-21 15:23:07 +0000 UTCFor cases like this I find it helpful to revisit things. Look at who Olivia was in the original and build a baseline to her personality that you can fall back to. That way it's harder to lose her core character, as you write her further. No one expects you to write aFtL's Olivia, that's something only Min could do, and is just unrealistic ,as an expectation for others, and even yourself to have. What you need to do is tell us NaFtL Olivia's story, just like you would with any other character you make. The process of making a character your own, especially an abandoned one is not to worry what they could of been, but who your version of them is going forward.
