If the item you voted for didn't get chosen, do not worry -- those items will be offered again in the future with your votes carried over, along with new items to consider.
EDIT: The Diminutive Gem and Scroll of Control are both temporary effects.
Since items in general is a new feature to this CYOA, I'm still figuring out how to implement them into the story. So I'll be open to discuss their usage in the private Discord.
