The Journey Begins – A New Chapter for A Failure to Launch
Added 2025-03-21 00:07:08 +0000 UTCHey everyone, and welcome!
This is the first step in bringing Not a Failure to Launch to life, and I’m incredibly excited to have you here. If you’re reading this, it means you’re interested in seeing this game rise from the ashes—and I’m here to make sure it happens.
Who Am I?
You can call me Muse, I’ve been working in game development for about six years, primarily focusing on visual novels in Ren’Py and Unity. Storytelling, immersive characters, and meaningful choices are what I love most about this genre, and when I saw that A Failure to Launch was abandoned, I knew it deserved a second chance.
I may not be the original developer, but I believe in this project, and I want to bring it back with the help of the community. Your feedback, your support, and your enthusiasm will shape the final game.
The Challenge Ahead
Taking over an unfinished game is no small task. One of the biggest challenges is that I have to remake all the game’s assets from scratch. That means new character models, new environments, and a complete overhaul of the visuals.
To show my commitment, I’ve already put together a proof of work—I recreated one scene from the original game using assets I currently have. This is just a small glimpse of what’s possible, but with proper resources, I can fully bring this world back to life.
How You Can Help
If I can reach at least $200 in support, I’ll be able to purchase high-quality Daz assets to remake all the characters properly. The more support the project receives, the more time, effort and quality the game will have.
It's a 3 step plan:
1. getting atleast $200 to buy the assets
2.remaking the characters with plenty of feedback from my patrons.
3.developing the first update, either from where the original left-off with Olivia or I will remake the game from the beginning (it will be the first pool where Patrons will vote).
I want this to be a collaborative journey. If you believe in Not a Failure to Launch, consider supporting the project, sharing your thoughts, and helping shape the game into something truly special.
Let’s prove that this isn’t a failure!
