Even though it followed a familiar origin story formula, its inventive action and strong performances made it a standout entry. The use of shifting landscapes and Mirror Dimension physics was a fresh change from standard superhero brawls. A common critique I have was that the plot mirrored the first Iron Man too closely—featuring an arrogant, wealthy man who finds redemption after a life-altering accident. Benedict Cumberbatch was the perfect choice for Stephen Strange. However, Mads Mikkelsen’s villain, Kaecilius, was underdeveloped and one-dimensional (pun intended). The climax—where Strange uses a time loop to bargain with the entity Dormammu—was one of the most creative and satisfying resolutions in the MCU. "DORMAMMU, I AM MISTER DOCTOR AND I'VE COME TO BARGAIN!!!"

It's one of my favorite MCU movies :) If you're ever looking for some old action movies you haven't seen yet, I recommend The last boy scout from 1991 with Bruce Willis and The long kiss goodnight from 1996 with Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson. (If you haven't seen The long kiss goodnight there's something wrong with you ;))
