XEN wips journal #4
Added 2025-03-28 16:02:34 +0000 UTCHi! I've kept working on this comic, and I'm finally getting to the good part, probably about half of the pages done I think of episode 1, I've been working hard on this thing, but making it in full color is being taxing....
in the first image you can see a "harvester" Cadacter, a new type of cadacter that we're gonna see in this next part of the story.
it's always funny to draw these guys as they're different sizes, but it's been difficult to remember their proportions, good thing I made that sheet for their size guides, but I bet it's impossible to never ge it a little wrong.
I also had to design a new transport shuttle, I didn't wanted to re-use the Exi clan model, so I came up with this one that's similar but more wide, my guess for now it's that is a Guardian clan model.
I also took the decision to keep the shape of their tails in their armors and space-suits, idk, it doesn't make much sense for example for the fox, but I'll prioritize the shape recognition over realistic design, they're also very colorful haha, also thought about it, but meh, they're the main cast I think they can have their unique color uniforms and suits.
I'm also designing the pages and drawing everything in a way that will make me easier to transform these pages in a webtoon reader mode, which is most likely the way I'm going to publish it, even at derideal.com
Episode 1 has to be the best, so I think that maybe if I ditch some of the coloring later, maybe people will forgive me, this thing is killing me.
