It's been neglecting making the post of this episode, mostly because busy but I also liked to just pack a few sketches and comment about the last page...
just wanted to explain my thought process for this episode, this was honestly the most difficul episode to write.
And I think after how long it has taken Alpha to finally find Laura, it feels off now that he finds her.
all it was needed was for him to willingly disobey and take the risk...
Laura's will power has been almost entirely broken, the traumatic process confused her reality, but as a proper person, she can endure and become a functional individual too.
that's part of the "Conditioning" perfection, it means to just trigger trumatic responses, thus disabling a xeno from fighting back or resisting, but it doesn't mean they become empty inside, they're the same person after they recover, but they carry an emotional wound, constantly... and I'm sure they would attempt to do anything to feel bad again.
Also, when Alpha's see Laura again, he seems some color in the world, at least... brieftly.
