and Project Prime has been exploring different ways to ensure xeno control, as you could see in Part 2, Alpha and Ivory are convinced to follow their master's orders, they're loyal... but both Alpha and Ivory are prone to think for themselves sometimes and do things without command, getting out of script.
but that's why C.Wally has been working with his Neuroplasty device, but he hasn't been capable to use it properly yet, until now.

Derideal is the story about the first and only xenos ever created. the "project prime" is an alternate reality, in which this same story could have happened differently and ended up allowing the creating of many more xenos.
