Check it out and you’ll see the similarities. The actor that played Steve Harvey’s son is the same kid in “Are We There Yet”, which was released the next year. “Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins” came out later as well.

The reason why Steve Harvey didn’t pursue more acting roles is because he chose talk shows, tv show hosting & mentoring young men. Here’s a fun fact: Nikki was played by Solange Knowles. She’s the sister of Beyonce.
