Selena (1997)

I just want to let you guys know, this story has never sat right with me since I was a child. I was vomiting and crying an hour after this reaction. 💔

Duh! I know that. What i’m saying is that what they said killed her was her rapid blood loss due to her adrenaline pumping and how close to her heart the bullet wound was.

But she had to run though, or she would have gotten shot 5x more just sstanding there yelling for help

Man, that scene after she got married and had to talk to her dad gets me every time. I have two grown daughters of my own and hope that we raised them right.

I was seeing a video where they recounted the events that played out the day she was murdered. Pretty much where she got shot is what made it fatal. Like after she got shot, witnesses says she ran into the lobby of the hotel where it happened and was still talking. She was trying to tell them who shot her while trying to gasp for air. They said timing and her moving so fast played a crucial role in whether she would’ve survived or not. Because when she was running in a panic to get away from yolanda, because yolanda actually screaming, “i’m going to kill you bitch!” While still trying to shoot at her as she was running towards the lobby. Selena’s adrenaline was pumping, which made her heart beat faster, causing more blood to expel out of her body. And had she gotten to the hospital sooner, they could’ve actually saved her. But she bled out too much and the vessel she was shot in would’ve taken a miracle to repair as it was severed completely in pieces. This vessel also was very close to the heart as it came directly from the heart and into her shoulder. It’s so sad everytime i think about. And it makes me ill every time i just imagine how terrified and desperate she was to get saved. Yolanda will forever be satan’s spawn in my eyes.

Jlo makes music but she can't sing which I think is funny

I was in Spanish Class my sophomore year the first time I heard about Selena, my teacher put this movie on, I really enjoyed the story and the songs, but when the ending came it broked me and most of my class. I told myself I wouldn't watch this again, but since MJ reacted to it for the first time, I thought I watch it again, but this time it felt alot worse watching the ending and MJ crying, it broke me down all over again 💔 😢. I kinda wonder if Selena's farm would've been big as Michael Jackson's Neverland

At 1:19:00 what miss MJ said ❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you!! This girl spit a whole lotta truth. To see that certain situation from another perspective it's great!

I was a kid when she passed away and honestly it was a surprise to everyone. Just think, in another world where many of our favorite artists didn't pass away, there's music that we'll never get to hear.

I never realized how similar the Quintanilla's are to the Jackson's

Selena and Aaliyah's deaths both never sat right with most of us. Selena's killer is expected to be paroled sometime soon…

Brad B

There is a video on YouTube of her funeral. When her husband walks up to the casket, you can see the exact moment where she touches his shoulder 🥺💔

Jamal Brown

Omg!! So painful

Leroy786

Seen this movie hundreds of times and it’s gets me every time. I still remember where I was when I heard the news that past 25 Years Ago You have to watch La Bamba similar story

Selena will live forever ♥️ 🙏🏿 RIH queen

Selena is like royalty in the Hispanic community her story is tragic 🙁

Ant_5350

This is one of the best music biopics of all time. Fun facts: Prior to this movie J.Lo was a fly girl on the 90s sketch comedy show In Living Color with the Wayans & she also on the forgotten short lived show South Central with Larenz Tate.

Marlon Bellamy

Selenas with an S yes this is a tear jerker man

Screaming, crying and throwing up is the correct reaction at the ending of this movie 😔
