Invasive Womb Replacer Parasite
Added 2024-12-21 19:00:04 +0000 UTCThis terrifying new species of parasite, recently discovered and assuredly originating from the Underdark, has a dangerous lifecycle that can threaten entire mammalian species.
Upon hatching from their eggs, the parasites resemble large mosquito-like creatures. Males are much larger and possess a cavity in their head where they can carry and ‘inject’ the females through their own proboscis.
Once a male & female have copulated, the males search out feasible female humanoids that can act as potential hosts. They will attempt to inject the female directly into the woman via their proboscis.
Once inside the body, the female shall make its way to the womb and devour it, growing in size exponentially until it has fully consumed and replaced the womb.
Replacing the host’s womb, it will then utilize the host’s body to begin nurturing its own brood. After forcing the host to lay the eggs, the female dies.
Though not a direct threat to most, this species is so dangerous due to humanoid females losing their ability to procreate, resulting in a rapid decline in birth rates and eventual extinction of the species. These infestations must be handled with EXTREME care to avoid the spread!
