2024-08-12 02:33:22 +0000 UTCI didn’t go all the way into it cuz it’s complicated, but basically, the strings are 7 notes repeating in octaves, forming several octaves worth of scales. But then there are foot pedals for each string and you can move each one up or down to make it a half step higher or lower, or put it back in the middle - but seeing a traditional harpist perform, they’re making those adjustments before playing often, or while playing but minor adjustments. So what Dorothy Ashby Is doing is crazy!
