I think I understand the process better with your explanation. It seems difficult to portray the three-dimensional effect only using color where there is less linework detail.

The dark elf picture is a coloring habit that I usually use. The problem is that it looks a bit messy. What I wanted to say is, um... if the area with light and dark is 60 to 70%, use about 20 to 30% as the point. I think it looks prettier if I put it in. But when I tried to describe the three-dimensional effect, it became increasingly dark.

Regarding skin tone, your style tends to have very bright highlights, creating a glossy effect (as if the skin is covered in oil). The hair also (the black-haired girl, and the middle of the purple hair). For the dark elf, there's also another effect. There's a dark spot on the nose, and a bright spot next to the eye, so it looks like the skin tone is nonuniform. Differences in skin tone are good for depicting curvature or musculature. The black-haired girl's back is a good example.
