Rogue-Like 1.6f (Merry Christmas)
Added 2024-12-24 23:16:43 +0000 UTCOk, Christmas is coming, and I think this one should be relatively stable. Hopefully. Unless I created new problems. It at least fixes some of the old problems. Fixed in this version:
-Some changes to relationship events that should hopefully prevent them from getting hung up and not advancing.
-Some graphical glitches with various character's sex poses.
-A few issues related to dates, phone sex, wardrobe, gift giving, etc. that would throw up errors.
If you do find bugs, please report them to me, either in this thread's comments, or in a direct message. If there's an error message, please include that error message in your post. If there's not an error message, it really helps to have exact wording of dialogue before/after the bug, so I can narrow down the exact scenario being played out.
But what is in version 1.6?
- Wanda is added, with various clothing options, relationship interactions, story content, any sexual interactions that can be done standing up, and hand stuff. What is not included? Her BJ, TJ, doggy, 69, or missionary sex poses or content, and her Halloween content. These will be added in over subsequent updates. You should be able to find her after meeting Betsy.
- Rogue's 69 pose. Like with Betsy and Doreen, this can be accessed by both giving and receiving oral sex several times. You might find some other surprises here. Other girls will be getting a 69 pose in future versions.
- Relationship event system changes. It used to be that all characters would be checked to see if they wanted to do a relationship event (ie confessing love for you, or something like that), every time you moved around anywhere. I made some changes to instead only make this check once per time block, and then activate the event where appropriate. On the player side, this should not be a massive difference, but might hopefully speed scene loading up a bit. It's got a lot of potential to cause trouble though, so let me know if there are characters where you aren't hitting their milestone scenes where you expect to, or you get too many or too few of these scenes relative to previous playthroughs, or any other feedback you might have on these systems.
- I finally figured out how to use a different mechanic to display characters, and have at least partially implemented it. If it works out, I plan to do a bit more, and I'm not sure what difference it might make on your end, but it can simplify some stuff on mine, so I'm very excited. :D Just let me know if you're finding cases where you think a character should be appearing but they aren't, or should be leaving the screen but they aren't or something weird like that. This would mainly apply to standing character sprites, but any graphical glitches could be related.

2024-12-26 23:25:15 +0000 UTCRogue's new BJ pose is a little all over the place when it comes to her background sprite. "Take it deeper" is *spot on*, absolutely perfect and very hot. Lick it, the sprite is maybe a little high on the screen relative to her head and for everything else the sprite is clearly too far to the left since you can see her neck. Not sure if that's something on my end or intentional, but the contrast with "Take it deeper" is stark enough it seems like a bug.

I avoided fast forwarding the dialogue, so that may have been a factor. If it happens again, I'll reply here with the new traceback.txt and try to provide more details.

The error you were reporting with the poly thing seemed to be a girl that was in your group but had missed the "boyfriend/girlfriend" event somehow. Hopefully in this build it will redirect into such an event, so if one of the girls you thought you were locked in with has a short conversation about it, let me know which. Gwen's gym and sleep outfits are similar (although the gym one has shoes on), but I figured it was what she would use, given her options. :D Wanda is much more open to lesbian stuff out the gate than most girls. Other girls have some slight quirks to how easy/difficult that option is. I think the overall progression with them works, because by that point they really are into you, it just took them a while before they were willing to take that next step. Once they do take that emotional step, they already like you enough to do a lot of different activities. Wanda is more seriously considering you as a romantic partner the entire time, so her progression should be a bit more even-handed.

2024-12-25 02:38:21 +0000 UTCAlso, is Wanda the only starting bisexual character that doesn't need to be coaxed/built up to be in a relationship with the female player (while typing I realized Jean was also rather open because you should know how to make a girl feel good)? I noticed this while playing through that she was the only one that didn't say she needed more time to come to terms with my affection. I also noticed that while on a 'friends outing' with a fresh Betsy/Wanda I was able to get Betsy to just be fine trying on both lingerie and swimsuits without needing to hide while Wanda was still reserved and said she didn't need to shop on that outing. The female progression balance seems a little bit strange to me, the girls don't want anything to do romantically with the player, but as soon as they warm up to you their stats are at the point that the first sex action you choose could be sex(vaginal/anal)/play with pussy/eat my pussy. This just seemed really weird that you would build up so long without being able to do anything with the characters and suddenly they are saying they just want to go all the way and be girlfriend/ma'am/momma instantly at that point.

When Jubilee jumps you for sex after she becomes your girlfriend, the text references 'She grips your shaft in her hand as she slides around to face you'. Just wanted to point this out as a gender/anatomy reference error. While in the same playthrough, I received the message 'Tell Oni Poly was called with the NEWBIW in the lead'. This message popped up when traveling between all locations upon first entering each one. At that point I think I was in a relationship with Rogue, Kitty, Jubilee and the girls just approved of Laura but Laura's stats kept her wanting to keep it open. As another oddity and not sure if it was a placeholder that was yet to be addressed, but I noticed that Gwen's Gym outfit and Sleep outfit are identical. Was there meant to be a difference between these outfits?
