病弱な体でありながら、聖女の資質を持っているという理由で、まるで徴兵されるかのように聖堂で奉仕することになりました。
貴族であるにもかかわらず、家計が非常に貧しかったため、彼女の家族はセシリアを聖堂に送らざるを得なかったのでしょう。
セシリアは貴族であるために特別扱いされることを望まなかったため、自身の名前を公表せず、誰も彼女のフルネームを知りませんでした。

セシリアは冷たくなった遺体となって聖堂に戻ってきました。
