ASSET: Auto-Generating Cans v.1
Added 2020-03-17 21:41:32 +0000 UTCThis was fun :) I'll probably go in and create a new version of this at some point (I really want to add, like, a variety of 20 different soda names or something that could appear on the cans, too), but here's a auto-generating soda can! Every time you duplicate it you get a different one, good for populating vending machines, or being background trash.
There's a "Crumple" slider that ages the can a bit- works really well for background litter (as you can see in the above image, though- the crumples don't 100% hold up to close-ups). And an "open/shut" slider on the lid texture, because it would be weird to have a bunch of old unopened cans sitting everywhere.
I only made this last night, and I've already used it in two different scenes; I think it's going to be really useful :)
I'll throw a video breaking down how some of this works if folks are curious (or you can make a mess in the nodes- there are a lot of them, but it's actually pretty straightforward).
