December TGT2 Campaign Pause
Added 2020-11-06 19:03:13 +0000 UTC
Patrons,
After a few sleepless, anxiety-filled nights, I've made the decision to pause the TGTrinity2 campaign in December. A few weeks ago, I learned my new apartment would not be ready on time and that my current complex had already leased out my current unit. So that leaves me without a home or office for at least one week at a time where I should be producing 150 pages a week for both campaigns. The stress of trying to get ahead on all the work is simply too much for me to deal with, so I've made the difficult decision to pause the new TGTrinity2 account in December... and possibly shelve it altogether.
There has already been a great deal of confusion from Patrons regarding the split campaigns, with many signing up for one thinking it was the other or that they'd have access to both. I've also had many patrons asking that the original TGTrinity campaign host all the comics with an open pay structure, saving them from tracking multiple campaigns. If I did this, I would not be able to have a $3 entry-level for 100 pages of comics a week. However, I feel an entry-level of $5 is still an incredible bargain for that amount of work.
No official decision has been made regarding this campaign's future or the other. Still, I'm definitely leaning towards hosting the TG Comics and TF Comics on the original campaign. That being said, I definitely want to hear your feedback. Is the split campaign too complicated? Would it be easier to follow one campaign with all of it, even if the entry price is $5? Please leave a comment below to let me know what you think.
Nothing will change in November for those who are currently signed up for the TGTrinity2 campaign. They will still receive six more updates this month as planned. If I do make the decision to focus on one campaign, then Multiple Minnies would continue being published on TGTrinity in January, and Royal Ring: Ryan would become available in the TGTrinity Exclusive Comic Post.
Again, I'm so sorry for pausing the campaign and for any headaches it may cause. I've always wanted to do right by you amazing Patrons, and I can't help but feel I've let you down in some way. That's just me... I want everyone to be happy and taken care of. Thanks again for being here, and know that I'm still incredibly excited for 2021 and the future of these comics.
Tyler
I appreciate that :)

I just remember that all this chaos will pass and brighter days are ahead :)

I'm leaning towards a combined campaign for this reason :)

Yeah, this is why I'm looking to simplify things. If someone misses a few days they may be totally lost as to what's going on, and that's totally what I don't want.

I appreciate your ramblings, Bob, and always will :)

What I'm leaning to right now is an open campaign with $5, $8, $11, $14, $17, and $20 tiers. This would blend nicely while allowing people to maintain the tier they're on now if they so choose.

Thanks, I'll definitely keep that in mind :)

Yeah, I'm already not liking the double posts.

You make some really good points, and the only thing that makes some of it hard to impliment is the fact I'm only one person doing all this. Anytime there's any confusion or issues with any of the sites it takes a great deal of my time to take care of. That's why I want it to be as simple as possible :)

(1) Look after yourself and don't stress. People will always be confused by change, no matter how well you explain it. I hope your apartment gets sorted out soon. (2) Statistically speaking (I did this research a while back for another patron who was struggling, but I forget the exact numbers off the top of my head), most people will not read a whole post. Only a very small percentage of readers will ever read a full post. Most will stop reading after about one minute and either: (a) guess what's going to happen and act on their guess; (b) ask a question that you have already explained in the text they couldn't be bothered to read; (c) complain about being inconvenienced by change, or; (d) use the opportunity to say something completely unrelated, because they want to be noticed. (3) Well over half of people who follow any site will never comment, and most commenters will only comment about once per month on average, so commenters may not actually be representative of your entire readership; (4) Most people who comment (on average, not all, don't shoot me) do so because they feel their opinion is not being represented, and just want it to be in the mix, or they disagree with something you wrote, and want to appear smarter than you; (5) Many disagree with an opinion purely to get a reaction (trolls) or to create more confusion; (6) The number of people who deliberately troll is usually actually higher than the number of people who are making legitimate comments after reading the whole post. There's a lot of other interesting stats, but in summary, I don't think you should get hung up too much on a lot of the comments or the fact that people don't understand what you're trying to do. It was actually explained very clearly. I think you'll know who the patrons are who actually read your whole posts and follow what you're saying, so you should use them as a barometer for how effective your message was. Most readers will be confused because they don't actually read what you've written. I know you are very focussed on satisfying and servicing your readership, and you try to satisfy everyone as much as possible, which is awesome as a reader, but, you also need to look after yourself, do what is practical and sustainable for you, and not get too anxious about confusion and reactions, because most of it is not your fault and is going to happen no matter what you do. People will work it out if they are really interested. You're batting way above average on this site, and anyone who decides to look at spending their dollars somewhere else should work that out pretty quickly. Chill.

I didn't mind two campaigns considering that not everyone is in to both types of work. I felt like keeping them separate is reasonable.
A sub tier based method where you have two low tiers for each separate and a higher tier for both together would be ok by my book. It ought to be easier to manage than two separate campaigns and also avoids the double posts.

Relax. Destress. Get your situation figured out first. Then do whatever is best for you. You can't please everyone, and 2 campaigns is most assuredly not too complex for me. You made it pretty clear, imo, that they were totally separate campaigns.

Hi Tyler, Would it be possible to use the original campaign and have more tiers than before, one for TG Comics, one for TF/other Comics and one for both TG & TF/other comics. You could still have sub tiers within each category for those who don't want everything, as you have now. This would work better for you as you would only have administration of one Campaign and I feel that you would stand to get more people sign up for the whole TG/TF comics especially as there all in one place. I certainly would go for the full option when signing up. Hope this helps, and good luck sorting your accommodation out, hope everything goes well.

First off, I'm sorry about what happened to you and by all means you need to take care of your family first and foremost and I pray all works out for you as soon as possible so you can get your personal life back. Second, I for one have never felt let down by you as you have far surpassed any expectations time and time again. Would it be simpler to go back to just one campaign for me, I'm good with both and find it easy to follow as you helped me by answering my numerous questions. The real question should be what is easier on you as that's most important to me, that you feel comfortable. I know how much time you put into your work so that the quality is top notch , which by the way it has been, so if going back to one makes your life easier, then please do it. Take care and excuse my rambling.

Your work is awesome and I am glad to support you. I will be honest with you, I haven't been able to understand any of the plans and payment options. I paid for the annual membership and was hoping that I'd get access to as much as possible. I saw in one thread that there was an option to get a rebate and then resubscribe for both....and then life got in the way and there were too many threads.
I look forward to your work and want to support in you in doing so. I do love a good breast expansion montage, and you do some of the best!

Sorry to hear about your moving troubles.
I don't have any problem with the split campaign. It actually seems simpler to me to do it that way, rather than hosting both in a single Patreon artist account. But either way you do it works for me.
¡Buena suerte!

Do what you must and stay sane. $3, $5, $3+3, I'm good and I'm with you whatever you have to do to make this work for you. As it is, you just flat out amaze me with the quantity and quality of work you produce.

I'm so sorry that's happened and I hope you find a place to crash soon. As for your question: I'm not likely to sign up for TGT2 as I'm mostly interested in your TG comics. Depending on how the next couple weeks go for me I may also need to reduce my pledge. I do generally read everything you post here, however, and could probably do five dollars at a minimum - I hope to keep pledging more. So, honestly, you're more likely to get more money from me if you keep the campaigns combined, but there's also every chance I'll stay at the level I'm at now anyway, or close enough.

Sorry this happened to you. Time to turtle up. Remember to protect your vitals. It seems that 2020 has a few more tricks up its sleeve. We've got a long way to go until New Years Eve.
