I read this much differnt than you do. Him explaining his situation isn't blaming anything on anyone. The only one he says he is a victim to is his own head. He is pointing out chaos at home, mental health issues, and being 16 and lost, which isnβt the same as saying βthis made me do it.β Heβs just describing part of his journey how it started, then commenting about how music became a way to regain control and focus his energy into something constructive ("power"). He openly admits it was a "misguided" period of life (" I was a prick then, I was a pleb, but Fuck it, we're all misguided individuals). That isn't making excuses it's self-awareness and ownership.
