love your reactions and so glad you indulged in this insane show! (i have read the books for context) and if i can defend my close personal friend Conrad fisher for a minute: 1) in the end of season 2, he was really wrapped up in grief and he couldn't love belly as she deserved, so he let Jere and belly choose each other. 2) he stayed away for four years because he knew being around her would make him insane and he didn't want to blow up her wedding even if he didn't want them to get married. 3) when he does see everyone again, he tries to keep away and be normal, but it doesn't help because she loves him too and he knows it. 4) was it a dick move when he told belly he loved her two days before her wedding? absolutely. but he wouldn't have done it if he didn't know Jeremiah cheated on belly. it was a desperate last cry for her, knowing in the back of his mind she wouldn't choose him. 5) i think when you love someone as much as Conrad loves belly its really hard to get over them; and he stayed away trying to do so but he couldn't do it.
