If I remember correctly, Batista's Rumble return was supposed to be a surprise. Someone working on promotional material accidentally included him on a poster or something. So the WWE said fuck it and brought him to Raw. I always wondered if a surprise return at #28 would have changed the crowds reaction that night. Probably not, but it's fun to think about.
