You're spot on in this video about HHH being a very polarising character and I am not a fan of his work or him as a person.
That being said, you can't take away his determination and love for the business as this was a prime example of it.
However, it also highlights how he ego tends to get the better of him more often than not. The Y2J/Steph affair storyline would have more people invested into the match and definitely going on last was a ridiculous call.
I get what he is saying about the title but somethings are bigger than championships and that certainly was that night.
He's someone I hold responsible for a lot of where wrestling is today and that is not a great compliment but he will have the reigns in the future whether we like it or not

At the time, I hated HHH. But after rewatching his efforts, I realize how much work he put into honing his craft. I also realize what a total bad ass he is. His 2002 return, the RR match against cactus jack, etc.
