Chapter 865: This Is You Making Excuses And Evading
Added 2025-07-24 07:47:25 +0000 UTCHe realized that the goalkeeper was about to make the save, so he took a long shot without hesitation.
The football flew off Su Luo’s foot like an arrow, soaring swiftly toward the goal.
The ball traced a beautiful arc through the air — the shot was clear and thrilling.
However, at the critical moment, Bremen’s goalkeeper made a stunning save!
He leapt into the air like a nimble leopard, using his sharp reflexes to block Su Luo’s shot and deflect it out over the baseline!
The entire stadium fell silent. The pitch went quiet, but Hagen remained unfazed.
He stared at the scene of Su Luo’s shot being blocked, his heart burning with anger and frustration.
He knew the opposing goalkeeper had pulled off a brilliant save, but he couldn’t bear to see his teammate's efforts go to waste.
Despite having a numerical advantage on the field, Hagen walked straight toward Ekic without hesitation.
Ekic's earlier foul — one he clearly could’ve avoided — had put Su Luo in danger, and that made Hagen furious.
"How could you treat my teammate like that?" Hagen demanded, his voice powerful and commanding.
Ekic replied with a mocking smile: "This is football. As long as you haven’t scored, I have the right to use any necessary means to stop you."
"Oh, really?"
Hagen sneered. "Sounds like you're just making excuses to justify your dirty play."
The tension on the pitch instantly spiked.
The referee quickly intervened and stepped between them. "That’s enough! Stop arguing!" he barked.
Su Luo walked over and gently patted Hagen on the back, signaling for him to let it go.
Though Hagen’s protection made Su Luo feel warm inside, he didn’t want the conflict to disrupt the team’s momentum.
“We need to stay calm,” Su Luo said to Hagen. “What matters most is staying focused on the game.”
Hagen turned to look at Su Luo.
Though anger still burned inside him, he knew Su Luo was right.
This wasn’t the time for conflict or division. They needed unity to win.
Hagen took a deep breath and nodded.
"You’re right," he replied sincerely.
The referee glanced between Hagen and Ekic, his expression turning stern.
He knew he had to cool things down before the match spiraled out of control.
"Both sides, calm down!" the referee shouted firmly.
He raised the yellow and red cards in his hand as a warning.
As Hagen and Ekic exchanged cold glances, the referee decisively held up a yellow card toward Ekic.
The card fluttered slightly in the wind, as if to cool the heated atmosphere on the pitch.
Under everyone's watchful eyes, the moment the yellow card was raised seemed frozen in time.
Ekic stood stunned at the warning, realizing he had crossed the line.
He felt suffocated.
Su Luo glanced at Hagen beside him, then at the referee holding the card.
Taking a deep breath, he made up his mind to keep playing.
Once the referee restored order and the spectators quieted down, the players resumed the match.
Su Luo felt the support of his teammates all around him.
That warmth filled his heart and strengthened his determination.
The referee raised his hand, signaling the game to resume.
The score remained 0-0 — unchanged.
Su Luo rejoined the action, leaving the conflict behind.
He focused intently on every movement across the field, ready to give his all in support of his teammates.
