Chapter 859 Are You Ready To Face This Challenge?
Added 2025-07-21 08:09:54 +0000 UTCThey understood clearly: only Su Luo’s appearance on the field could change the direction of the match.
Head coach Ferdinand Klaus sat silently, unmoving.
He seemed like an isolated island, trapped in his own world of thought, undisturbed by anything around him.
The solemn and heavy atmosphere suggested that the coach was waiting—waiting for the perfect moment.
Time passed slowly, each second ticking like a drop of water, tightening everyone’s nerves.
The entire team waited for the moment the coach would give his orders, but still, Ferdinand Klaus said nothing.
Finally, halftime arrived.
The Dortmund players returned to the locker room, one after another, their faces full of exhaustion and frustration.
Coach Krause entered the locker room with a heavy expression and firm steps.
His sharp gaze swept across the players, pausing on each of them, as if trying to see through their thoughts.
Robert sat with his head down, disappointment and fatigue written all over his face.
Hummels punched the wall angrily, clearly unhappy with their performance in the first half.
Krause took a deep breath, his heart full of both disappointment and anger.
He knew they were capable of so much more.
In this crucial match, a team with such strength and potential had allowed themselves to be pushed back so easily.
“We trained so hard for this! Have you forgotten everything I taught you?”
His voice was low and controlled, but it carried weight.
“You’ve become scattered on the field—no unity, no teamwork!”
One by one, the players lowered their heads, their spirits dampened.
They understood the coach’s criticism—they had indeed lost their focus.
Su Luo, however, stayed silent.
He knew the coach’s anger wasn’t directed at any individual. He stood tall, his expression calm, silently conveying that he was ready.
He looked straight at Coach Krause, his body language filled with confidence.
Coach Krause noticed Su Luo’s composed attitude and nodded slightly, satisfied.
“Su Luo, are you ready to face this challenge?” he asked.
“Of course, coach. I’ve always believed I can change the course of the game,” Su Luo replied, his voice steady and firm.
Krause tapped his fingers lightly on the table, thinking for a moment before raising his head to meet Su Luo’s gaze.
“Good. Then tell me—what tactical adjustments do you think we should make?”
Su Luo frowned slightly as he quickly reviewed the first half of the match in his mind.
Glancing at Robert and Hummels, he realized that the forward line wasn’t receiving enough support.
“We need to push more players forward,” Su Luo said decisively. “If we can increase the attacking pressure, we’ll force their defense to break down and create more chances for ourselves.”
Coach Krause’s expression turned thoughtful as he considered Su Luo’s suggestion.
Crossing his arms, he asked, “Robert, Hummels, do you agree with Su Luo’s assessment?”
Robert and Hummels exchanged glances, then nodded firmly.
They agreed—bringing more players into the attack could turn the game around.
“Alright, then. We’ll make that adjustment.”
A rare smile appeared on Coach Krause’s face as he announced the decision.
“Su Luo, you’ll be the key to restarting our offense. I’m counting on you to lead this counterattack.”
Su Luo felt the coach’s trust settle heavily on his shoulders—but it didn’t weigh him down. It strengthened him.
He nodded confidently.
“I won’t let you down, coach.”
At that moment, Su Luo understood: the second half wasn’t just a match.
It was his moment to lead.
