Chapter 855 I Believe You Will Play And Shine
Added 2025-07-19 07:33:11 +0000 UTCFerdinand said encouragingly, “Whether we start or not, we’re a team. Su Luo, you’ll have plenty of chances to prove yourself.”
Su Luo took a deep breath and kept his expression calm.
“Thank you for your encouragement, Ferdinand. I’ll give my best—both on and off the field.”
The three of them exchanged smiles and, after finishing getting dressed, left the locker room. Ferdinand walked out first, followed by Nikos. Su Luo, however, paused for a moment. He took out his phone and made a video call to Emily.
At that moment, he couldn’t help but want to hear her voice, to share what he was feeling inside.
Emily’s smile lit up the screen.
She knew Su Luo was worried about not starting the match, but as always, she offered him her unwavering support and encouragement.
“Su Luo, I believe in you,” Emily said softly, her voice warm and calm. “You’re the core and leader of your team. Whether you start or not won’t change that. You’ll give your best either way.”
“Thank you, Emily,” Su Luo said with a smile. “You always understand me. I’ll stay confident and give it everything I’ve got.”
A mysterious light flashed in Emily’s eyes. “Actually, I have some good news too.”
“What is it?” Su Luo asked curiously.
“I’ve decided to come to Dortmund to support you in person.”
Emily smiled excitedly. “I’ve already booked my flight!”
Su Luo froze for a second, then broke into a bright smile.
“Really? That’s amazing! I’m really looking forward to seeing you!”
The two began discussing Emily’s itinerary, their moods gradually lightening.
“I know you’ll do well in the match, Su Luo,” Emily encouraged. “You’re my idol.”
During this conversation, Su Luo’s confidence was reignited.
He knew he wasn’t just any player—he was the leader of the team.
“Thank you, Emily. I’ll fight for our shared dream,” Su Luo said confidently.
After saying goodbye, Su Luo felt re-energized and full of determination.
With Emily’s support and encouragement, he believed that this match might lead to a miracle.
When Su Luo returned to the locker room, his teammates were already discussing tactics and preparing for the game.
Robert and Hummels were standing together, going over the strategy, while the others busied themselves with their own preparations.
Su Luo felt his mood sink slightly.
Even though he forced a smile onto his face, he couldn’t shake the worry about whether he’d make the starting lineup.
He knew the game was about to begin, but Ferdinand and Nikos still hadn’t received a clear answer from the coach about whether he would start.
Noticing the unease in Su Luo’s expression, Hummels paused and approached him.
“What’s wrong, Su Luo? You seem a little distracted.”
Su Luo forced a natural-looking smile.
“It’s nothing. I’m just… a little anxious about the starting lineup.”
Robert looked at him with concern.
“Don’t worry. I’m sure you’ll get your chance and shine.”
“Yeah, Su Luo, you’re one of the best players on the team,” another teammate added.
But their words only sent Su Luo deeper into thought.
Though their encouragement was sincere, he felt they didn’t fully understand his inner desire to prove himself.
Silently, Su Luo walked to a quiet corner of the locker room, barely hearing the sounds of his teammates around him.
