A determined smile appeared on Su Luo’s face. “First of all, I will completely abandon those unhealthy habits and seek more positive and meaningful activities. Secondly, regarding those who have negatively influenced me—please trust that I have the ability to distance myself from them.”
He looked toward the fans and added, “I also hope to prove my determination through concrete actions and give everyone a satisfactory answer.”
Su Luo silently followed Lampard into the club office.
There was a heavy atmosphere in the room, so suffocating it felt difficult to breathe.
The walls were covered with banners and photos of legendary players, highlighting Chelsea's glorious history.
Lampard turned on the projector and spoke with a heavy tone. “Su Luo, I believe you’ve realized the impact that this negative news has had on both the team and the club. This kind of behavior is unacceptable.”
Su Luo remained calm and nodded to show his understanding. “Yes, I’ve realized my mistake. I know that my actions have hurt the fans and placed tremendous pressure on the team. I’m willing to take full responsibility and accept any consequences.”
Lampard observed Su Luo closely and noticed a hint of helplessness behind his composed expression. “Su Luo, do you know the situation we’re in right now?”
He pointed to the TV screen showing a stream of reports—Su Luo partying in nightclubs, angry and disappointed fans gathering with banners demanding the club terminate his contract, and even images of fans cutting up his captain’s armband. The whole scene was absurd and painful to watch.
“This isn’t just your personal problem anymore, Su Luo. The team and the club are both under enormous pressure because of this. We have to take steps to protect the club’s image and interests.”
Su Luo gave a faint smile. “I completely understand, Lampard. I’ve already issued a public apology and promised to make changes.”
Lampard sighed. “Su Luo, the termination of your contract is already a done deal. Chairman Remias has made his decision. He believes that cutting ties with you is the only right choice.”
After he finished speaking, the room fell into silence.
Although Su Luo had mentally prepared himself for this outcome, he still felt a wave of disappointment and helplessness.
Later, Lampard stood at the door of Remias’s office and handed him a folder.
Remias sat behind his desk, took a sip of coffee, then frowned and began to read the contents.
Lampard stood aside nervously, waiting for Remias’s reaction.
The folder contained documents detailing the dissatisfaction Su Luo had caused within the team.
Several players had complained about his selfishness on the pitch, lack of respect for teammates, and the damage his actions had done to the club’s reputation.
These issues had seriously impacted the team’s unity and morale.
Remias remained silent for a moment, then closed the folder and looked at Lampard intently. “This is a serious matter, Lampard. We can’t tolerate behavior like this.”
Lampard took a deep breath. “I know, Remias. The coaching staff and I have spoken with Su Luo and communicated the team and club’s concerns to him, but he hasn’t shown any true remorse.”
Remias tapped his fingers lightly on the desk. “Su Luo has already caused enough negative headlines. We can’t afford to tolerate it any longer.”
