George was always destined to leave. If he betrays Tyron I hope he gets skeletized and Tyron gets his knowledge one way or another

I doubt he's going to be used for any of the obvious plotlines people are guessing in the comments. I struggle to come up with a plausible scenario that allows him to rival Tyron in strength, even with aid from the Dark Patrons, he's more likely to become a damsel in distress or some secret anti-Tyron suicide bomber if he deals with them. I can't imagine what information on the Resistance Georg really has that would make an impact if the Empire were to find out. Unless he informs them that Tyron is successfully closing rifts and that kicks the Gods into ultra-high gear personally, the Empire is already seemingly entering Defcon 1... Mayyyybe he some how enters the Realm of the Dead and is used by one of its Lords as a conduit or gateway into the mortal plane? Doubtful, we already have Dove for that plotline. Honestly, my best guess is connecting Georg to the tickle at the back of my mind that has to do with Book 2's cover. Book 2 is when Tyron's parents die, they're also on the cover. They're also seemingly NOT full skeletons, their arms are skeletal, but their faces look like flesh. Tyron has explicitly reiterated he only deals with Bone, and the ghost flesh of his higher undead is glowy (I'm pretty sure). Maybe Georg is the missing link to someday raising up Tyron's parents with some semblance of their former selves, and not just as creepy clackers.

With dimensional conduits and relays, he can do it from any distance. He can also summon the Ossuary via them as well. AFAIK he cannot use Ossuary to travel, since once he is in the Ossuary itself he cannot close the entrance. So he can use it to transport Undead or other people and things, but not himself. I feel like Georg leaving is happening too late to be a major plotline. He either gets captured and dies, or just becomes a minor plotline character that will show up once and that's it.

2026-02-19 13:13:36 +0000 UTCCouple of questions. “He would be casting the Raise Dead ritual multiple times a day soon, in multiple locations”. I thought his leeches were summoning the Ossuary at each location and using its Ability to raise multiple Undead at once? Is that the case? If so, does that mean each Ossuary ritual circle leads to a different Ossuary? A copy of sorts? If not, and it’s the same, could it be used for travel? Essentially jumping between location by using it as waypoint? I think one of Tyron’s priorities should be to come up with a way to convert kin bones into human bones. He won’t be able to replace his higher Undead with that, but not having to worry about materials for the rank and file troops as well as weapons and constructs will be a tremendous boost. That way he can get far more aggressive in using them. He should also find a way to miniaturise and maybe improve the function of the relays. Maybe turn them into staffs/crowns/armours for his leeches? That way they are far more mobile and less eye-catching, even though the Empire will eventually catch on that they are important, it’s best to delay that as long as possible. And I can’t wait to see what his newly boosted arcane marrow can do as well. Another priority should probably be coming up with skills/abilities, which could give him an edge against platinums, killer moves especially. The new Soul Spike might be a good one, but maybe come up with more or keep working on it. Also George is a moron. He will most definitely be captured by the Empire and tortured for information. Anything he knows about Granin, the rebels and Tyron, which will not be a good thing. Although it might be a bit more dramatic for the story. I don’t think the Empire will try to brainwash him and use him as a weapon against Tyron simply because he is first no match for Tyron even with all the support possible, second I don’t think the Empire thinks themselves so desperate so as too need to do something like that and third Tyron will have no qualms killing George if he gets in his way lmao.

2026-02-19 08:19:47 +0000 UTCThat was bound to happen. I know Tyron doesn't have much time and is not very savy relationship-wise, but he should have realized this was coming. Also Georg is a hell of an ungrateful man, but I doubt he'll survive this.
