Added 2020-06-24 22:42:46 +0000 UTCThe assault on Rylleh. From which point of view should it be told? I'm genuinely not sure.

2020-06-26 02:51:53 +0000 UTCThe perspective of a down-to-earth leader using lifelong experience to make reasonable tactics only to be incessantly face slapped. Ideally the updates should come in parts due to the messenger’s incompetence, with the critical information coming last.
2020-06-25 21:17:06 +0000 UTCI'd love to see their reactions from their point of view when being attacked by super intelligent ants and the face slaps to come

2020-06-25 06:32:12 +0000 UTCReally? There have been many POV changes. Primarily with the Legion but also with the villagers and members of the city too. Just saying that calling it rare isn't accurate.

2020-06-25 00:59:36 +0000 UTCthe POV changes are so rare in this series that its refreshing to see it from different view points

2020-06-25 00:53:28 +0000 UTCI’d vote for a two parter if I could, the initial attack on the city from colony perspective, then mid battle to end from the city perspective in another chapter.

2020-06-25 00:48:02 +0000 UTCThe answer is Yes, show parts of it from both end, and let a third party fill in the details.

2020-06-25 00:45:01 +0000 UTCHave you ever fell into a anthill? Or found one ant then then crap ton more where just there I wanna see the perspective of a human being absolutely swarmed just pure fear.

2020-06-25 00:34:47 +0000 UTCmmh, if you use the civilians from the city you can already fit in their feeling about the occupation, without having to go over it again too soon, like what you did with Isaac, loved his introduction.

2020-06-25 00:24:33 +0000 UTCThe fact that both sides view a battle differently has been done to death in the last several years. We get it, both sides see the other a sa villain. Both sides are both right and wrong. Moral grey areas, blah blah blah. And we already know that the whole world sees ants as a menace just one step below the ancients during The Rising. Its been mentioned at least a dozen times. You have to ask yourself, how much do you want to paint the ants as the aggressor? Or "the bad guy" to put it another way. If you want to keep going with the ants as a burgeoning sapient species instead of mindless eating machines then leaning into their perspective is the wiser choice. Your call though. I'll read it either way.

2020-06-24 23:49:46 +0000 UTCWhile the perspective of opposing parties is interesting as an aside from time to time I believe that major events should be told from the perspective of the protagonist. Or at least the protagonist's side. Friendly advice: Tell it from the perspective of The Queen and Vibrant as much as from Anthony. All well liked characters and vital members of the fight against Rylleh. Maybe throw in some snippets from members of the council too, depending on how long you intend the fight to last. Boom! Well done story arc complete.

2020-06-24 23:41:12 +0000 UTCWell i would like to see both sides with mostly of city residents

2020-06-24 23:24:38 +0000 UTCman, I love your work and it is great that you asked. I am sure you will make the best choice I think I agree with the others here that a new perspective for how the city folk would view the ants attack could be very interesting and a great way to shape how things are going. we haven't really thought much about what the average dungeon dweller thinks of ants yet. Perspectives have been: MC, Ants, Legion, crazed Stoney cultists, crazed lizard momma, and crazed / devistated villagers You could also do a third party perspective of someone watching it all take place? and outside party who hasn't been introduced yet!? sooo many options for an assault on a city!
Reiner Fox
2020-06-24 23:16:26 +0000 UTCOther races talk about how horrifying ants are, from Anthonys perspective we see them as family members. I vote just members of the city because I want a perspective of horror of intelligent monsters giving a coordinated assault.

2020-06-24 23:05:55 +0000 UTCIf we're following the "revealing the plan before its execution = failed plan" trope, let's stay on the City defenders~ =P
Runaway_Cactuar
2020-06-24 22:59:42 +0000 UTCI think a short start from the defenders point of view to set the scene is a good method. Then switch to attackers view after the *alarm* hits the city.

2020-06-24 22:56:00 +0000 UTCThe camera followed Arya Stark as she ran through the city street while the dragon and the army destroyed everything, and through Arya the viewers get to experience the point of view of the regular citizens.

2020-06-24 22:49:29 +0000 UTCIf I had to choose than definitely people from the city. Reminds me of the scene where the dragon from game of thrones destroyed a city. You should definitely draw inspiration from there!
