One last thing though, and no spoilers for future stuff, you're overthinking the Witch of Envy thing. When Subaru was able to speak about his ability, she tried to reach out with her shadow hand, but couldn't find/stop him since he was in Echidna's Castle of Dreams. Since she couldn't punish Subaru for violating the contract like normal, she appeared in the real world. Subaru even realizes that Echidna knew it would happen, and that's why she used magic to transform the cloth on his arm into a knife, so he could stab himself. The only true mystery there is why despite being sealed, the Witch of Envy can appear at all. And as to her showing up in the Tea Party, it's a bit annoying because they skipped over an important detail (probably the biggest blunder in the adaptation of the season), which is that Satella and the Witch of Envy are two separate personalities, the latter being the crazy one and the former being the original that all the other Witches like, excluding Echidna, who hates both.

"I dub thee, Sir Diesalot." LOL, I laughed so hard at that. Anyway, whether you're jumping into the third season straight away or want to wait, do what you think is best! I would recommend not watching any trailers though, as they spoil the focus of the season, which gets revealed at the end of the first, special-length episode. It got previewed at some conventions and I ended up seeing it with my Dad, and the quality surpasses even season 1. Haven't been so excited for something in quite a while!
