2024-07-22 15:28:39 +0000 UTCI think the main purpose of the episode: gathering the players, and the whole purpose of the festival was to make all of those inhabitants within the Forest who were coming to see Rimuru on the occasion of his becoming an official Demon Lord, and the designated ruler of the Forest, arrive around the same time. And the festival hasn't begun yet. That will be for international guests. It's really a stage in Tempest's development and its recognition by the world, particularly the Western Nations. I myself am not sure what the purpose of the three brothers are in the grand scheme of things, but I might have just forgotten. It just might have been a demonstration of the respect Daggrull has for Shion and Tempest's fighting skills. In my mind I think those three sons were creating havoc at home because they thought they were superior because of their innate strength, having no concept of the reality that training might make someone be able to defeat them despite their superior energy levels. Daggrull probably wanted them to learn a lesson, seeing that Rimuru's people were obviously well-trained.
