The entire plot is convoluted and hidden behind a fairly badly setup backstory that we don't know anything about and is entirely irrelevant to the actual plot of the story. The whole unreliable narrator thing doesn't actually make any sense either because we're not seeing anything through Jon's eyes. It's not told from his perspective. It's told in an omniscient perspective with random things hidden.

2025-10-04 07:01:08 +0000 UTC(2) I do remain curious as to just how this will play out... if it turns out Arianne ended up poisoning her own cousin, after thinking she was dead for so long... that is both a stab and twist of the knife, one for kinslaying a long lost member of your own family, the other for the retribution they would surely feel not long after from the remainder of House Targaryen.
