I’m so happy to see Jon/Aenar finally tell the truth to someone, it’s so relieving… However there’s a few slight inconsistencies in this chapter that I couldn’t help but pick up: at some point Ned tells Jon that he has his mother’s wolf blood which would be a HUGE clue for Jon and therefore something Ned would probably not say. Then there’s “How a Northern woman came to have purple eyes to pass to her son” with Aemon, followed by “My mother was some woman he met during the war” which is confusing, did Ned happen to meet a Northern woman while at war, away from the North?
