2024-04-17 03:39:44 +0000 UTCIt was never really made clear if that 100.000 is just fighting force or everyone. I also have a feeling that the others weren't that big of a problem until very recently... it is quite possible that they went into sort of hibernation for centuries and only came out of it once magic in the world started dying (so at some point after all the dragons died out). Yes, they have been living in harsh climate, but they have been living in it for 8.000 years so by that point they most certainly adapted to living there, so the number seem fine to me.

2023-08-17 21:23:28 +0000 UTCI still think 100.000 wildlings is way too big of a number when you consider the type of weather they live in, the others, enemy clans, night’s watch, hell, in the books is brought up that they don’t name their children until they have reached 2-3 years old. As for Robb, I agree, I might be wrong, but I think Robb is “brother” with Jon, as long as Jon is not in a better status. Of course, Robb still named Jon as heir before the Red Weeding, but at that point he thought Bran and Rickon were dead, Sansa married Tyrion, and no one knew where Arya was, or if she was alive.

2023-08-16 18:42:41 +0000 UTCNo, he didn’t. To Cannibal, the direwolves are like ants. Cannibal is pissed with Jon and Aegarax. Robb’s anger is not something that a simple talk can snuff out.

2023-08-16 18:35:53 +0000 UTCI hope Cannibal didn't eat Shaggy Robb's anger is not a good thing. I hope Ned speaks with him before he's sent to the wall

2023-08-15 16:11:41 +0000 UTCThat’s not what I’m saying is stupid lol. Thinking they can rebel against literal dragons is their stupidity.

2023-08-15 15:56:12 +0000 UTCI know but hes not half stark not a full one and he was royal just like all of the tully starks are trueborns so he thinks that his mother was right so it blinded him to think jon thought of himself because he was jealous of him and his sibilings

2023-08-15 13:11:09 +0000 UTCI simply stated that Edmure is the lord. Now, whether or not the other Houses of Riverlands will follow him is an entirely different matter, and yes, the majority of Houses of Riverlands respect House Darry and Blackfish, so Edmure and Cersei are already walking on thin ice, the best curse of action would be for them not to do something stupid…
Drinor
2023-08-15 12:05:36 +0000 UTCI mean I understand that Edmure is lord and everything. However, I thought that it’s already been established that most of the river land will support the Targaryens. Furthermore, given Joffrey known actions wouldn’t the lords lose a lot of respect for edmure given he can’t control his son actions? Besides I feel that most of the lords will respect Blackfish more than Edmure because the blackfish is a wise warrior who fought in three wars. Other than that if I am not mistaken you mentioned in one of the earlier chapters that most of the houses in the river land follow house Darry and one of the reason was that their lord son was a squire for the blackfish. So while Edmure is lord won’t the blackfish have a strong say into the matter? Thank you for replying.

2023-08-15 11:58:12 +0000 UTCYou know, having to face North on the battlefield and killing some or most of it's leadership and soldiers may not be such a bad thing... it would certainly make allowing 100.000 Free Folk south of the Wall easier if there is no GreatJon Umber, Rikard Karstark, Roose Bolton and few others around to cause trouble. That said, I've been hoping someone write a story where Jon and Robb face each other on the battlefield since, unlike what it the most popular opinion, I don't believe Robb would ever accept Jon being more important or higher in station that him. And he would most certainly never accept Jon as his King (especially not after he was crowned King in the North). Robb might have been a "good brother" to Jon while everyone considered Jon to be a bastard and beneath him, but that is all there is to it. Once Jon becomes more important, Robb wouldn't like that and I don't believe there is a scenario where Robb support Jon in his quest for Iron Throne... unlike Jon who would always support Robb.

2023-08-15 11:37:25 +0000 UTCRobb is only thinking about what Jon’s reveal did to his family; Arya and all Robb’s siblings are crying, and his father will be sent to the wall, so in his eyes, Jon is selfish. His thoughts are something along the lines of ‘Jon knew what telling his lineage would do to us, to father, and he did it anyway,’
Drinor
2023-08-15 11:30:11 +0000 UTCNo, he didn’t. Cannibal has no reason to attack the direwolves, to Cannibal, the direwolves are like ants. His anger is towards Aegarax and Jon.
Drinor
2023-08-15 11:26:02 +0000 UTCWell, the North, in general, doesn’t think highly of the Southerners, especially after what the Mad King did, so you can’t blame some of them for thinking that bringing Jon to Winterfell was the right decision.
Drinor
2023-08-15 11:24:55 +0000 UTCNed will not try to hide anything anymore. If they ask him, he will be honest. Blackfish is not the Lord, though. The lord is Edmure. Tywin is not stupid. He knows what he can win and what he can’t win. If Cersei decides to do something stupid, then Tywin will know whether or not that is something beneficial to his house. Robb is furious right now. He feels that Jon betrayed everything to become a Prince.

2023-08-15 11:23:05 +0000 UTCHonestly the lords of the north are oblivious to not knowing jons reason only a few know and robb acts like life for jon was good it wasnt hes a hypocrite too because his mother raised him to think hes gonna be special and everything blindess and arrogance

2023-08-14 22:48:16 +0000 UTCInteresting chapter, howland and meage did an amazing job to prevent the rebellion from happening. However, it’s still not enough the only person that will be able to stop it is ned that is if he confessed about how Jon was treated. Furthermore, I don’t think the blackfish will allow for the north and the river land to rebel given how most of the river land won’t support house Tully. Even if Tywin decided to support them the blackfish knows better than to trust Tywin. I don’t really see Tywin supporting them mostly because he will want his grandchildren to marry into the royal family to gain dragons. However, this will never happen even after that Tywin won’t rebel directly but will stay behind and make his moves into the shadows. The only help that Robb can get which is helpful is from Varys and the golden company. Overall, great chapter and I hope you get better soon.
