unpopular opinion ! i personally don't think ian pressured mickey at all. Maybe i'm biased from similar relationships i've been in but ian all season has made it clear he doesn't want to be anyone's secret which is super valid. I'm sure he is very aware of mickeys relationship with his father especially with all the shit they've been through together. As someone who finished the show it's very clear that certain things influenced this reaction out of ian but i think he had every right to be selfish ... it was a ticking time bomb.

Regardless of the situation if any person doesn’t want to be in a secret relationship, it’s valid to tell them to come out or for y’all to break up. I also feel that what Ian was saying to Mickey was influenced by a certain aspect of Ian that hasn’t been revealed yet.

2025-07-07 03:26:26 +0000 UTCMickey <3 <3 <3 This episode is so amazing, and every way you reacted to the coming out scene is the same way I reacted the first time, being so mad at Ian for forcing him but also understanding where he was coming from and being so proud of Mickey. It's one of my favourite ever coming out scenes because it took so much courage knowing it could result in him being killed, it's just so wonderful. Be prepared for official couple Gallavich in season 5 because I think I remember you saying back when you were watching season 3 that you couldn't imagine what Mickey would be like in a real relationship with Ian, well you're about to see it! Carl is such a sweetheart. One thing I will say about Carl as the show goes on is that he has one of the BEST character arcs of the entire cast and his ending is really great. I love him. And one little moment in this episode which I think is so cute and shows how young Carl is and how he's growing up is when he's in bed with Bonnie, he smells her hair because at the beginning when he asked Ian if he loves Mickey, Ian responded by saying he likes how he smells. So Carl is trying to work out what love is and how it's meant to feel so he's mimicking his older brother and I just think it's so sweet <3 :) Next episode is the highest rated episode of the show on imdb and it's almost as good as this one. I love it, I cried a few times the first time I watched it.
