Shelby answered an ad in the paper from Rachel’s dads looking for a surrogate so there was never a possibility that she would be keeping Rachel as she was just the egg donor and incubator and she was getting paid. She plays the sympathy card a ton but she knew exactly what her role was when she agreed to the Berrys terms, even if she may not have realized how it would affect her emotionally, but that’s her own issue and she needs to leave the Berrys out of it. With Quinn, obviously she didn’t intent to get pregnant, and frankly she didn’t intent to even have sex since Puck got her drunk and took advantage of her low self esteem. But she did make the best choice for her and Beth out of a terrible situation. Well, it’s debatable if Shelby is a great person or not, but since Quinn didn’t feel like she could abort her baby, adoption was the best choice.
