Life Update: January 2026

Hello! It's been a while, how have you been?

It is very late, but happy New Year! I hope this year treats you kindly :)

As you may have noticed, I changed my username! They say a name is a kind of prayer, so I'm hoping this one brings me better health.

Things have been tense everywhere lately. Honestly, I've been afraid to check the internet, including Pixiv and FANBOX, so I'm sorry for the long silence.

Speaking of Pixiv, when I finally browsed again, I saw many new artists and works from people I've followed. At the same time, I noticed how much AI-generated content has grown, including ryona works.

Before AI, I already compared myself to artists whose skills felt impossibly far ahead of mine, like standing at the bottom of a steep cliff. Now, with AI, that feeling has only grown stronger. Now, it's like facing a wall that can't be climbed.

So to you who follow and support me financially, knowing I can't compete with the speed or sheer output of AI-generated content, thank you. Truly. It means more than I can say. I'll keep doing my best and working harder!

The Future?

I'm sorry. I can't promise anything concrete.

My health, something I really hope will improve, continues to be a struggle, and more often than not, I feel like I'm losing that fight. My parents aren't getting any younger as well, and it's heartbreaking to see them getting older but still need to take care of myself.

I still have many commissions, and I'm working through them slowly. But once this batch is finished, I don't think I'll be accepting new commissions. It's not fair to my clients for waiting more than a year for their commissions to be finished.

(I also just finished two commissions, so there'll be at least two updates this month!)

Moving forward, there won't be fixed schedule. But I'll try my best to at least upload something every month!

About Old Projects

This is my biggest weakness:

I struggle to finish things.

I get bored or burned out very easily, even with projects I care about. I've tried keeping things short and simple, but I often overdo them anyway, and then they remain unfinished.

At this point, I have more unfinished projects than completed ones. I'm planning to clean some of them up and post them here on FANBOX only, so at least they can see the light of day :')

If you have any advice on how to deal with this, I'd really appreciate it.
